Maybe you’re not a fighter; maybe you’re not the kind of person to march on the front lines throwing bricks, molotovs, and yelling. That’s okay. That’s so so so very okay. You’re important.
What’s equally as important as that are small radical acts of kindness. Love your neighbors, love your friends. Love yourselves.
Be there for each other, be willing to lend a helping hand or shoulder or couch. Don’t be afraid to put yourselves out there and do what you can for your community. Anything you can do or provide matters. You matter.
You can help in the gentlest and most personal ways, and those matter at least as much as any protest.
A people united are so much harder to fight and tear down than individuals. Link arms with your neighbor and they can’t break you. They’ll never break you as long as you still care, and as long as you’re still willing to show it.
You’re important and you’re valuable, and you’re all so so dear. You can help and you can make a difference.
You’re important.
People act like the only way to change anything is to riot, to face down police, to face prison time.
That’s not true.
More than anything, we need organization.
We need people to spread word, to post flyers, to feed people, to radicalize others.
We need people to think and make art that opposes the impending regime.
We need people to bombard government offices with complaints and opposition.
We need people to drive, people to stand watch, people to do research.
We need to make ourselves hard to govern!
You are so useful, competent, smart.
Use the skills you have!
Every effort that opposes capitalism, fascism, white supremacy, or the state is worthwhile, even just shooting an article or a meme to a baby radical; even just saying “No, grandpa, that’s racist.”
You have so much power in you that the state tries to keep you from using.
Deny them their victory!
They want your apathy?
Deny them your dispair!
Show them how kind you can be!
Help us like minded folk build a world where facists are afraid, not elected officials!
I know some people who are scared to participate in militant direct action, and while militant direct action is completely necessary for at least some of us to be doing, it’s not the only thing you can do and it’s sure as hell not the only
necessaryone.
We need people to raise money for lawyers and bail and we need people to pour time and energy into the endless procedures when those of us who do do direct action get arrested. (We desperately need support for those people because they are actively being singled out and targetted for police violence, given a new bullshit accusation to fight every day, etc). Support the fighters. They can’t keep it up alone.
