Really depends on the country, the politician, your social media profile and dumb luck. In most countries the police does nothing unless the politician decides to contact them.
Just thinking rationally, I’d say that if you’re a teenager with 10 followers, telling a big politician ‘you should die’, they’re likely to just ignore it. They’re getting too many of those messages to care. But if you’re an adult with 20.000 twitter followers telling a local politician to die, they’re much more likely to see if they can press charges or just get you banned from that social media platform. Whether they could actually press charged against you for death threats or something again depends on the country, the laws there etc.
So I really don’t know. Any of my followers have any better advise?
