As an anarchist, my favourite book about anarchism is ‘ Anarchy Works’ by Peter Gelderloos. Like most anarchist works, it’s online for free: https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/peter-gelderloos-anarchy-works. My favourite book about modern class struggle is Owen Jones’ ‘Chavs’.
As a queer person, my favorite books about queerness are Julia Serano’s ‘Whipping Girl;, Kate Bornsteins ‘Gender Outlaws. The Next genderation’ (though everything Kate Bornstein ever wrote is amazing). As a queer historian, my favourite book is Susan Stykers ‘ Transgender History’.
