listen I just want to say how firmly, how completely, I believe in fuck you happiness. how important it is that you survive and find your joy in defiance of those who hate you for your race, for your religion, for your gender, for your sexuality. how brave it is, and how beautiful, that you still exist in spite of those who would wish you gone. 

people say respect existence or expect resistance, and that is good and true. but what is also good and true is that many of us, through simply existing, are engaging in acts of resistance. you are here, you are alive, you are doing good and worthwhile things, you are taking care of yourself, you are doing what activism you can. and you are a thorn in the side of oppression.
