White supremacy on an individual basis is a racist ideology centered upon the belief, and the promotion of the belief, that white people are superior. White supremacy is also used to describe the pervasive society-wide system that benefits white people at the expensive of everyone else and promotes the fiction that white people are superior.
Pride is a strong sence of self-worth based on an achievement. Sometimes that achievement is simply existing in defiance of a strong oppressive system that wants you to not exist.
Gay pride takes pride in existing as a gay person and surviving as a movement in a world of profound homophobia and violence against gay people. Trans pride takes pride in existing as a trans person
and surviving as a movement
in a world profound transphobia and violence against trans people. Black pride takes pride in existing as a black person
and surviving as a movement
in a world of profound racism, white supremacy and violence against black people. These are feelings of pride based on a real achievement.
White pride doesn’t exist. There is nothing holding white people back from existing and as such there is nothing to be proud of. There is nobody, absolutely nobody, telling white people that they should feel bad for existing. If you hear people talking about racism and white supremacy and interpret that that means you should not exist you have a serious problem of hearing what you want to hear instead of what people are actually saying. You may be doing that to avoid actually spending time trying to understand racism.
So no, you shouldn’t feel bad for being born white. You should, however, start actually listening when people are talking about white supremacy and avoid looking for easy ways out of facing the role of white supremacy in your life. It doesn’t sound like you’re doing that right now.
So ‘white pride’ is not a thing. What is a thing is a sense of white suprenacy renamed ‘white pride’ to make it seem like something other than the violent genocidal ideology that it is.
This is a deliberate strategy spread by nazis, kkk and other white supremacists to trick white people (who want an excuse to not listen to conversations about racism and white supremacists) into listening to their point of view. The idea that ‘white pride’ is a real valid thing is a trick to make you buy into white supremacy. That’s everything it is.
