Real fascists are in power or close to power in almost every nation in Europe. Time for action! Take these 5 steps to cut microaggressions out of your language.
For those who don’t get this kind of humor and are about to send me angry anon posts claiming I don’t care about microaggressions: no, that is not the point of this post.
This post mocks the habit of a lot of liberal activism of pointing out the real rise of fascism but offering only individual behaviour tailoring as a solution.
Would it be better if all the people that cared were less racist, sexist, transphobic, ableist etc? of course! Would it stop the rise of fascism? Absolutely not. Stopping fascism happens when we, ya know, take real concrete actions to stop it.
(And ya know, the same is true of trying to solve the problems of capitalism, white supremacy, police brutality, prisons etc etc. You can’t fight these things by brushing up your personal behaviour. It’s just no where near enough.)
