Why are companies that are trying to look progressive so fucking obsessed with using transgender models to sell their products? Like this has been done a dozen times over and these companies still act like they’re hot shit. Why is that?
Is it because getting a model from another marganilized group doesn’t come with the added spectacle of letting cis people oggle your trans model to see if they can spot the transness?
IS IT?
Like I don’t see a company doing some cutting edge progressiveness ‘redefining beauty’ by getting the most white skinny passing hot trans model they can find. All I see is a company looking to profit by turning trans people into a spectacle once again.
