Liberals are going to tell you that you can fight injustice by walking docilely through the streets on approved routes, during approved hours, after getting the proper permission slips from the people you’re fighting against. Ignore them. And then make sure that you can’t be ignored.

Which doesn’t mean you have to join the Black Bloc and punch nazis. Not everyone can or should do that. Our activism should be as many-sided as the many ways in which we need to change the world. But do:

• support those on the black block and those who punch nazis
• create real change, not just ‘awareness’
• when you are trying to get people to listen to you, make damn sure you can not be ignored. If you can, don’t waste your energy on it.
