queeranarchism:

White millenials voted for Trump 48% to 42%
White women voted for Trump 53% to 43%
White college graduates voted for Trump 49% to 45%

The problem isn’t babyboomers, men or ignorance. The problem is white supremacy.

The problem with this post is that it’s comparing whites to whites. Not blacks to blacks or blacks to whites. This is complete bull shit sorry

Black men voted Hillary 82% to 13%
Black women voted Hillary 94% to 4%

Latino men voted Hillary 63% to 32%
Latino women voted Hillary 69% to 25%

Black millenials voted Hillary 85% to 9%
Latinos millenials voted Hillary 68% to 26%

Non-whites college graduates voted Hillary 72% to 22%

All of these are from the same exit poll I used for my original post: http://edition.cnn.com/election/results/exit-polls/national/president

It is hard to find a single white demographic that did not come up with a Trump majority (white college graduated women some up with a 51% for Hillary, a small margin indeed) and there is not a single non-white demographic that came up with a Trump majority or came anywhere near it.

I encourage you to look through those exit poll results for yourself. CNN has  extensive and well-researched exit polls and the difference in the numbers is far too big to be explained away by a margin of error.

Statistically the strongest defining feature of the Trump supporter is whiteness.

Does this mean the majority of white people actively hate people of color and voted for Trump because they wanted a racist in charge? No. That’s not how white supremacy works.

What it does mean it that, as a result of white supremacy, a LOT of white people who consider themselves ‘not racist’, ignored Trump’s racism and voted for him anyway. A lot of white people did not care about people of color enough to not vote for Trump.

That’s white surpemacy’s biggest feature: apathy to the point of allowing people to die because you can’t be bothered to keep them safe.

Post that ’can not be reblogged’ (watch me)

willyoulookatthat: Next time that African-Americans tell you that the U.S. is a country of white supremacists, remind them the U.S. won the war against Adolf Hitler, he who was a believer in a white master race and responsible for millions of deaths in the name of racism. If Americans were racist, they would’ve joined him and conducted an ethnic cleansing of their black populationNews flash, it didn’t happen. If saving mankind over and over again from racist tyranny isn’t enough to save the U.S.’s good name in the eyes of its black population, then they are beyond being pleased and no effort should continue to be made. People who aren’t grateful for being saved from Nazis aren’t worth the bother.

It looks like you need a history lesson and I happen to be a World War 2 historian so here goes:

The US did not go to war against Hitler because they didn’t like racism. In fact, in the 1930s and 1940s the Unites States was the textbook example of a racist nation. In most states people of color could not marry white people and signs on stores said ‘whites only’. The Nazis openly admired the United states for its racism and used US legislation as an example of how to ‘keep the white race clean’ and socially isolate ethnic minorities.

That admiration was mutual. From 1933 to 1941 American media reports on Hitler were mostly positive or presented Hitler as a comical non-threatening fool. An alliance between the US and Hitler was never considered because the biggest trade partner of the US was the UK and they would never accept that. Also, Germany was allied with Japan and the US hated Japan. More on that later.
Mostly the US had no problem with Hitler. When Hitler started terrorizing Jews, occupied Poland, occupied Western Europe, went to war against Britain, the United States did nothing. Some jewish refugees were accepted if they were rich celebrities or renowed scientists but most poor Jewish refugees were denied entry into the US. Anne Frank and her family requested asylum and were denied. They were among thousands of Jews who would have survived if the United States had let them in.

The United States did have one problem: Japan was competing for naval domination in the Pacific and might soon block US interests there. So from 1939 onwards the US started arming itself for a possible war against Japan. But this preparation went slowly and when Pearl Harbor was attacked in 1941 the US did not know if they could actually beat Japan. There were two allies available: the UK and the Soviet Union. But they would only help the US out if the US would also fight Germany. By now, this made economic sense as Germany seemed to be close to beating the UK (America’s trade partner, remember?) so when the US declared war on Japan it also declared war on Japan’s ally Germany.

Then, and only then, did a strong anti-Hitler campaign start in the US. This campaign did not focus on the racism of the nazies but on the fact that American Freedom TM was in danger. Fighting racism had nothing to do with it At the same time, the United States incarcerated Japanese Americans and spend the next 4 years producing endless propaganda that presented the Japanese as subhuman vermin to be exterminated. Throughout the war the United States maintained a segregated army where many of the white GI’s who were fighting the nazis refused to eat in the same dining hall as black soldiers. At the end of the war there was a wave of lynchings targetting black Americans in uniform.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the British Empire around this time was fucking racist too and purposely starving it’s colonial subjects by the millions and Stalin’s Soviet Union was hell on earth. Basically, there were no good guys to be found. The Second World War was not a war where ‘the greatest generation’ of anti-racist good guys defeated the racists. The second World War was a war where super racist states defeated the even more racist Third reich with a lot of help from Stalin’s well organized murder machine, not because these nations hated racism but because they wanted their share of military and economic domination.
