while US “leftists” were squabbling over whether talking about vaginas and uteruses was transphobic and claiming, for no apparent reason, that reproductive rights are a white feminist issue, trump reinstated the global gag rule which is going to lead to millions more unplanned pregnancies and unsafe (or fatal) abortions across the world in places that rely even in part on US aid for healthcare. can you mount a concerted political opposition to these barbaric reproductive rights policies if you’re not even allowed to say it’s a women’s rights issue? can you mount a concerted political opposition to this if you’re spending all your energy on berating people for cissexism instead of actually paying attention to the violence that’s being inflicted on women’s bodies and fighting to end it? can you really?

Trans women: hey our reproductive rights are constantly under attack and more so now, so could you include us in conversations about womens rights and not deny that we exist?
