if you try to listen to trans people just because they’re trans, you have the chance of getting that one asshole who thinks that medical gatekeeping is a good thing and nonbinary people aren’t real

if you try to listen to intersex people just because they’re intersex, you have the chance of getting that one asshole who supports forced medical treatment.

if you try to listen to autistic people just because they’re autistic, you have the chance of getting that one asshole who is pro cure and pro autism speaks.

that’s why it’s important, necessary and unavoidable to think for yourself and form your own opinions. there’s always going to be people in the group whom you will disagree with, and people in the group who are just plain wrong.
