A majority female, majority immigrant and majority LGBTQIA (yes, really) political party led by Sylvana Simons, a woman of Surinamese heritage is shaking up the white male world of Dutch politics with an intersectional approach to oppression and a clear left-wing economic approach. While the party is unlikely to win a lot of power during the general elections this week, they are raising the bar of representation and intersectionality for the progressive left.
