I really really really HATE movies and short clips where you spend 90% of the movie getting to love a character and hearing subtle hints about the fact that they have a love interest with an androgynous name and only in the last minute does the love interest enter on screen and TADA it’s someone of the same gender! What a heartwarming surprise! 

Same with videos where the character is revealed to be transgender right at the end.  

I know they’re trying to be progressive and shit but to me it is just saying “the audience wouldn’t allow themselves to love this character if they knew the character was queer from the start.” and it hurts. Fuck that shit.
