the other day someone was like “omg, if you’re going to fault this study for using a convenience sample (i.e., just a bunch of college students who are totally not representative of the general public, often with a very skewed gender ratio, often extremely white, etc.) then you’d have to fault, like, almost ALL academic research in psychology!” and i just love this because it’s like……………………………………………….. yep
