The term altright is an extremely broad term that fits a huuge group of conservative people into it. Technically I’m altright because I’m not a republican but I’m conservative. I guess I’m complaining because it’s such a useless and broad term. If you want to attack white nationalists im all for it but call them by their actual group not just “altright” it does no one any good and it lables decent people as nazis.

antifainternational:

“Alt right” is a term coined by avowed white supremacist and little rich boy Richard Spencer in 2010 as a way to repackage white supremacy and fascism.  Spencer himself advocates for a “whites-only” “ethnostate” where racialized people are removed.  Spencer has questioned whether Jews are people or have souls and has endorsed black genocide.  He uses a term coined by Nazi propagandists to refer to the news media and his alt right pals respond by sieg heiling him.

White supremacists coined the term “alt right” and have used the term to push their racist extremist agenda into the mainstream.  If you choose to call yourself “alt right,” this is the kind of person and the kind of ideology you are choosing to associate yourself with.  Knowing this (and having read this you can’t say that you didn’t know) and continuing to refer to yourself as “alt right” = deserving whatever consequences befall you as a result.

As Joy Kogawa put it, “if there’s one thing that history teaches us, just one thing, it’s that bystanders and perpetrators are on the same side.”

Time to choose your side, Anon.
