The foundation MindRights is a Dutch activism group doing vital work advocating against solitary confinement, restraints and other forced interventions by mental health care. It is run by people with lived experience of the torture emposed by the psychiatric system in the Netherlands.
Some major legal changes are being prepared in the Netherlands at this moment to allow the system even more power to imprison and drug people against their will. Forced ‘care’ is traumatic, harmful, ineffective and a huge violation of our human rights and bodily integrity.
Jolijn Santegoeds is raising money to cover the costs of human rights awareness raising activities, mostly travel expenses, to do the work of stopping these laws and all
forced interventions by mental health care.
