Question?

Do I need to complete all of these to unlock the LGBT trophy? Do they have to be in order? I might have fucked up by achieving the “stalked” objective first. When I checked my QueerQuest guide afterward “denied basic human rights” was automatically marked completed? Is this a glitch? Do I need to start over? :/

(A blog post that says, “ok full offense but when someone is killed, stalked, jailed, tortured, executed, beaten, expelled, fired, evicted, denied healthcare, or denied basic human rights for not wanting to fuck or date then u can compare ~aphobia~ to homophobia”)

PROBLEMS UNLOCKING FULL OBJECTIVES! PLEASE HELP1

– I’ve heard completing the 1st and 5th objectives breaks the game and renders the player unable to continue. Is this tru? #colonialmarineswasbetterthanthis

QUERY: IS THERE A SECRET OBJECTIVE??

So while I was playing, a random boss showed up and I unlocked something called the SEXUAL ASSAULT objective. I checked but it’s a suspiciously absent from this tutorial. I wonder why that is???????????????:/ :/ :/ 😕

The physical violence around Being LGBT+ is so intersectional, too. it overwhelmingly targets people of color. Not exclusively, but overwhelmingly.

if you look at the statistics even for the trans community, which probably gets the most physical violence, it’s almost entirely targeted at people of color. The worse the violence, the more it’s reserved for people of color.

We should not be pretending that this is stuff that all of us face.

We all face the fact that people hate us so much they want to kill us.

But we do not all face the likelihood of them trying it with us personally.

We all face high rates of the psychological and economic violence aimed at our groups. There’s a higher likelihood that you will be fired, or denied healthcare, for being LGBT+, when you’re also facing intersecting oppression for being Black, First Nations, disabled, etc.

But those things are something that we all face. It’s very common for any of us to be denied healthcare in covert ways, like: being rejected for transition because you’re not gender normative enough, or not hetero normative enough…

being given reproductive health care with dangerous omissions, like not being told about PrEP, or only being told about how safer sex works with one of the genders you date…

being given health care, but in a way so full of micro aggressions that they deliberately drive you away…

seeing a therapist, and being told that your transness or sexual orientation is the actual problem, is a symptom of mental illness, or isn’t real, or finding that they’re so obsessed with it that they can’t hear anything you actually need to talk about….

And gosh, a bunch of that stuff happens to aces all the time. And gosh, medical abuse and neglect happens even worse to the intersex community than to the rest of us – you know, that group that people keep pushing away and refusing to advocate for.

And gee, I’ve seen aces talk about being harrassed, assaulted, and fired when people at their work find out they’re ace.

I saw a post just the other day where someone’s boss trawled their social media accounts, saw that they were ace, and was overheard planning how to make their job such an awful, hostile environment that they’d quit, because being ace supposedly made them a compassionless robot freak who shouldn’t be working with kids.

I’ve certainly seen aces post about being stalked by people who found out they were ace and wanted to “change” or “fix” them.

I’m not buying the whole “aces don’t get oppressed enough, because they’re not getting murdered as far as we know” argument.

Because if that’s how we’re doing it, then any of us with white privilege or class privilege, for starters, should be right out too.
