Cool thing about the shoes. Does anyone know how to tell that these are tactical shoes? (I don’t have twitter so if anyone wants an excuse to speak to Chelsea, ask her how she could tell and let me know)

The soles. Normal dress shoe soles tend to be thin single pieces with little to no profile.
Tactical shoes would either have outright visible ridges on the sides like combat boots, or (as is actually mentioned in one of the tweets above) rubbery detailed soles akin to running shoes.
