These are horrible people. They lie, they publish bad ‘research’, they promote abusive therapies. They have all been discredited a thousand times yet they continue to get invited by media and conferences desperate for a transphobic ‘expert’ to hide their bigotry behind.

Zucker once ran 105 “masculinizing sessions” on a child in an attempt at forcing desistence of GNC behavior. McHugh’s research conveniently always *precisely* aligns with Catholic dogma. Weird.
Bailey parroted Blanchard’s “research” for a book that sold well but was pretty widely discredited. Cantor is a former colleague of both Blanchard and Zucker and labels being a trans woman (not man) as a sexual paraphilia (like pedophilia). They literally all studied and worked together and often provided peer review in an otherwise thin field of research. There is very little anti-trans research outside of these five and their extended network of peers.

@Tsfailure mentioned Anne Lawrence, another transhobe who works closely with…. Ray Blachard!!! It’s a cluster fuck of a few people constantly supporting and peer reviewing each other in a tiny echo chamber of hate.

And like the rest Lawrence is not without her twisted history. In her case, she’s noted for having performed ‘inappropriate sexual experiments’ on trans women who came to her for hormones.

Oh and then there’s Blachard’s other student J. Michael Bailey who supports eugenics of LGBT people because he thinks they are a mistake of evolution. I haven’t seen Bailey and Lawrence in the media as much as ‘the big five’ but they’re out there publishing their vile shit and at some points if their career having real power over their transgenser patients.

This is the small cluster of shitheads the media keeps pushing as ‘experts’ when they want to claim that transgender people should not have basic human rights.
