Remember these names. If you see these names, shit is about to go down. Any organization that allows these people to soeak at their event is either very ignorant or willfully platforming a massive transphobe.
These are horrible people. They lie, they publish bad ‘research’, they promote abusive therapies. They have all been discredited a thousand times yet they continue to get invited by media and conferences desperate for a transphobic ‘expert’ to hide their bigotry behind.

Sorry but that’s not how this works. 

Several of these people have actual power and do actual harm. They have transgender patients who often do not have access to any other option and have to put up with their shit. Kenneth Zucker has ‘treated’ hundreds of transgender children who had to put up with the abusive ‘therapies’ he proposes. That is incredibly damaging, potentially deadly. These people 

These people also get the opportunity to spread their fucked up ideas whenever they go unchallenged. Imagine for a moment that you’re the organiser of a conference, symposium, whatever with a debate on transgender rights. You want different viewpoints so the debate will be interesting. If you google “Kennethh Zucker” and the first ten results are from his own website and articles you might think that he is a respectable doctor and you might invite him to speak. If the first ten results document his abusive practices and phony research you might think twice. This example is not hypothetical. Exposing these creeps for what they are works. 

Finally, even when organisations willingly platform these creeps, resistance has been effective on multiple occasions. In februari this year the

USPATH national conference of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) invited Kenneth Zucker as a speaker. Transgender activists disrupted his speech and when conference security was called on them they gathered widespread support and issues 3 demands:

1. An unreserved apology frpm WPATH for security being called and for Zucker being scheduled.
2. Zucker’s talk the next day should be cancelled.
3. Termination of whoever called security on trans people expressing their right to protest.

WPATH agreed to everything. 

These people have been spreading their filth for decades, doing very real harm and they show no interest in stopping. You can not ignore them until they go away.

Whenever they are ignored they can spread their transphobic shit and maintain an air of proffesionality that they do not deserve.

However, when they are resisted they often lose their power and platform. Zucker lost his clinic and his power over transgender children when activists, patients and parents chose not to ignore him and called attention to his abusive practices. He lost his chance to speak at a mayor conference when trans people chose not to ignore him. Resisting them works. Spreading information about how shit they are works.
