Honestly trans people have tried to have so many open nuanced conversations about how attraction works, how cissexism works, and how ‘lesbian’ has always meant ‘attraction to women’ and reducing it to ‘attracted to vaginas’ reduces women to walking vaginas which is both cissexist and totally dehumanizing to all women. 

And in every one of these conversations they have stressed that no one wants you to have sex in any way you are not comfortale with at any time and if you are a transphobe who sees trans women as not really women the best thing you can do is never date a trans woman because no trans woman wants to have to deal with your shit. We’ve said this every time. 

Yet every single time TERFs have claimed that ‘trans activists want to force lesbians to like penis’, which is an absurd lie that has no foundation is reality at all. 

So no matter how often we tell TERFs that actually not a single trans women wants to sleep with them, they keep repeating this lie. Why? 

There can only be two reasons for this:

1. TERFs lie on purpose because lies and scare mongering are the only ways they can justify violently excluding a vulnerable group of women from feminist communities. 
2. TERFs are incapable of seeing a conversation as anything other than a violent effort to force their opinion onto other people.

I’m leaning mostly towards reason 1, but reason 2 seems credible too.
