previous to all this sga discourse i was only slightly suspicious of people using the term ‘cishet’ because i knew they meant ‘cis straight’ and that it was probably just an issue of wording and the fact that ‘cishet’ sounded catchier. but now that everyone is always screaming about ‘cishet aces’ and ‘cishet aros’ i honestly cannot trust anyone who uses the term ‘cishet’ anymore because it just reeks of aphobia to me now.
aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA
i#“i was slightly suspicious of lgbt people from the start but NOW …”
you may want to reread the post you just reblogged because that is not what it’s saying. if you want to scream about a figment of your imagination please make your own post instead of adding it onto other people’s.
@yurameshi you do get some points for digging up this fucking age old post though. how many months back into my blog did you go to find it?
@yurameshi scrolled back to Apr 28th, 2016 to add ‘aaaaAAA’ to this post.
It was a good post though, I do not trust people who use the word ‘cishet’ a lot either. Along with being used extensively by aphobes a lot of cisgender LGB people use ‘cishet’ to avoid acknowledging their own cisgender privilege and how much transphobia there is in the LGBT community.
I wrote some shit about that here: http://queeranarchism.tumblr.com/post/160686293613/the-cishet-distraction
