The trilogy of truth.
That, or I can believe they are wrong but not wish them bodily harm because I’m a pacifist. Not everything needs to be solved with violence and it can still be just as effective at resolving conflict. So, no, I am bothered by Nazis getting punched just as much as it horrified me to learn a black man was beat up in his driveway by a white man for merely being there where I live. Just because I don’t agree with violence against others does not at all mean I support them and what they believe.
Also, we have two groups of extremists. Both are being violent and are causing harm overall. So, yes, I’m allowed to think both are equally flawed and support neither side because I want peace and equality for all. It does not at all mean I am a racist asshole.
Your ‘both groups’ are:
- A group that wants to build a dictatorship, massacre political opponents and organize a genocide of ethnic and religious minorities, LGBT+ people, disabled people and more.
- A group that wants to stop, by any means necessary, the people who want to build a dictatorship, massacre political opponents and organize a genocide of ethnic and religious minorities, LGBT+ people, disabled people and more.
I can see how you think they’re ‘equally flawed’, in the way someone dropping a nuclear bomb and someone spray painting ‘no bombs’ on a wall without permisso are ‘equally flawed’, one being a step towards the end of all humanity and the other being a bit rowdy in their opposition to the end of all humanity.
But then, you are bothered just as much by a black man getting beaten up for existing, as by someone who want to build a dictatorship, massacre political opponents and organize a genocide of ethnic and religious minorities, LGBT+ people, disabled people and more getting punched, so…. jikes.
