How do I fight fascism in smaller ways? I have severe anxiety, and I live in a small town. I can’t go to protests in other cities, and I sadly can’t run out and punch a nazi in the throat. There are no local antifa groups (afaik). Can I still make a difference in any way? (I live in Sweden, if that makes an difference)

antifainternational:

Hey, thanks for writing.  We’re very happy that you’ve discovered antifa!

There are literally a million ways to fight against fascism and bigotry.  We can’t possibly list all of them, but if you dig through our archive, you’ll find thousands of examples of things people have done to confront, oppose, and resist fascism in their communities.

If you’d like an example closer to home, read our interview with an antifa in Nyköping.  You could also reach out to some of the AFA chapters in Sweden  or get involved with Föreningen Fånggruppen.  Or you could try our friends in Danmark, Revolutionære Antifascister.

If you want some historical ideas & advice about antifa, we’d recommend reading Mark Bray’s book Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.

and see what translates to anto-fascist activism.

Small town anti-fascism is super important. If all the anti-fascists activists are in large cities, there are a lot of spaces on the margins where fascists can meet and recruit and grow.
