More lies in the murder by police of Mitch Henriquez

queeranarchism:

Saturday, the 27th of June 2015, Dutch police put an Arubian man, 42 year old Mitch Henriquez, in a chokehold and beat him to death at a music festival in The Hague,

The Netherlands.

The police then lie in their report about the cause of death. Official police reports state that Hendriquez became ill during his drive to the police office, but eye witnesses have filmed the police carrying the limp body of the man into the police van. He did not receive any medical attention from any of the officers even though it was very clear he was unconcious.

Protests in response to Mitch Henriquez death are violently suppressed and procedures to resolve the case are purposely delayed in the hope that public attention will fade.

Now, 21 months later, the police is trying to close the case because a doctor paid by the police concluded that the cause of death was a spontaneous cardiac arrest while in a chokehold. Because there is no way depriving a man of oxygen can cause his heart to stop, right?

THIS. IS. BULLSHIT.

They are trying to get away with murder.

Justice for Mitch Henriquez.

The first forensic expert has already come forward to condemn the report as highly misleading. His conclusion: “Everybody dies because their heart stops.”, that does not mean Mitch Henriquez wasn’t murdered by cops.

November 2017, it is now 29 months after the death of Mitch Henriquez, after many many delays, a series of misleading and suspicious report and blatant lies, two of the police officers responsible for the

death of Mitch Henriquez now finally stand in court.

The prosecutor has acknowledged that the officers used excessive force resulting in death and that they knew Mitch has unarmed.

I wish this was good news.

But in a disgusting plot twist the prosecutor has only asked for a ‘guilty’ verdict to the charge of ‘maltreatment’ and has decided to ask that the officers be given no sentence, claiming the officers who both still hold their job have ‘suffered enoughfrom the media attention to their case.

The chance that the judge will go against the wishes of the proescutor is extremely small.

29 months later we are still very very far away from Justice for Mitch Henriquez.
