TW: POLICE BRUTALITY, GRAPHIC IMAGE OF VIOLENCE AND INJURIES

Today (24-11-2017) fascists disrupted a demonstration for the men languishing in Manus.
The police response was to arrest a man who defended the protest and crack open the skull of a prominent left wing activist. The police denied this activist medical treatment as they casually chatted and escorted Neil Erickson, known neo nazi, down the road with a bit of banter.
What happened next was a vindication of how we fight back! Masses of people, the largest demonstration of young people for refugees I have been to in my life decided to defend the people standing in solidarity with these activists, and the men defying border force and the PNG government on Manus at the same time.
For the first time in weeks we won! We beat the fascists, we outmaneuvered the police and we claimed flinders st station for those men resisting the racist Australian Border Force!
For 20 days now refugees on the Australian government’s Manus Island detention centre have been denied access to Food, Water, Medicine & Electricity.
