Like stop equating gnc women with TERFs and stop letting TERFs become their voice when they obviously hate masculine/gnc women themselves

This is true but really we should be loving butch women even if this wasn’t true. Just because butch women matter. And another thing: all feminist and queer cultures also need to take a huge step back from treating privilege like a personal failure and get back to seeing oppression as systematic. 

Too many gendernonconforming people are terrified of identifying as not-a-woman in these spaces because of how we might treat them the moment they do. This hurts us all. Gendernonconforming women can NOT freely explore and express their gender if they do not believe that we, their community, will love them no matter what they are. 

If exploration brings with it the possibility that maybe, maybe, they will at some point identify as not-a-woman and that will immediately result in a massive change I their social status within a space and maybe even violent exclusion from the space they call their home, then it becomes preferable for gendernonconforming women to just not explore their genders at all out of fear of what they may find.
