Just saw a great post which I could not reblog about how fascist primitivism is very much a thing, since primitivism simply argues for less technology and a return to nature and this can serve many ideologies and I just want to make my own post and say: YES. THIS IS A THING!

Original 1930s-1940s nazis had a strong undercurrent of fascist privimitivism, arguing for a ‘return to the land’ of the German farmer-soldier who needed to regain his moral purity by connecting again with the ‘soil’ of his country. This was translated into imperialist conquest. Much of the conquest of Eastern Europe was done specifically so that Germans could settle there on small-scale family farms.

So it’s not at all surprising to see fascists today argue for a ‘return to the land’, which in their view just happens to consist of a glorification of masculinity and physical strength, survival of the strongest and most violent, genocide of the disabled, rape, unrestricted violence and barechested blonde nordic men doing an unrealistic amount of construction from wood.
