Everyone on Twitter has said this better than me, but as nice as it is to see all these colleges assuring students that participating in “peaceful protests” won’t harm their admission chances, the word “peaceful” is a real problem for me because, like, the protests in Ferguson were peaceful too until the fuckin cops showed up and literally turned it into a war zone.

Only white people are allowed to “peacefully protest.”

& tbh, telling kids that doing a ‘peaceful protest’ won’t hurt their chances of getting into college really ISN’T an assurance, it’s a warning. Fuck that shit.
