Something stood out to me… “Their first raise in years”, even tho inflation would mean they need a raise just to keep making THE SAME amount of money, this is a victory for organizing but it’s also important to note that this is such a small increase that it probably doesn’t keep up with inflation tbh, these poor teachers have to fight like this just to be basically given a small concession to shut them up and it’s sad, raises to at least match inflation rates should be the most basic of expectations from an employer because if that’s not happening then ur actually getting paid less and less over time

A win is a good start though, it reminds bosses that workers can strike, it reminds workers that they can strike and win. Getting to a point where yoou can get what you need with the mere threat of a strike, or before you even need to make a threat, is a long road but one wokers have walked before.
