It’s ironic because they don’t look at US as real people.

hey congressmen john smith ain’t so bad, he goes out for family walks with his dogs on the weekends and removes your civil rights to education in the weekdays

I thought ‘friendly reminder that members of Congress are real people’ was gonna be followed by ‘the earth is not dying, it is being killed, and those who are killing it have names and addresses’ or some variation of that, which really would have been much better.
