Support teachers as exploited workers who deserve better working conditions and better pay. Support their strikes. Acknowledge that some teachers go to incredible lengths to help children who are being screwed over by the system.

But do not make the mistake of idealizing all teachers to the point where they can do no wrong. & remember that teachers are also in a position of power over children.

Quite a few teachers are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist. Quite a few teachers are abusive. Quite a few teachers call security gaurds and cops on their students participate actively in the school to prison pipeline. Teachers by default participate in a system that instill obedience to authority and prepares children for disciplined participation in their exploitation as workers.
