Not only this but it’s such an erasure of bi women’s sexuality as well. not everyone who has heterosexual attraction is even straight. lots of people in the lgbt community on this website like to blame straight and bi women for the shit that men put them through and think they’re woke for it…

THIS. There’s this overtone that you “get what you deserve” for dating men and it’s like… that’s classic misogyny, my friend. It lets men off the hook for their bad behavior and shifts the blame to women. Classic. misogyny.

And upholding lesbians/women in f/f relationships as uniquely pure and incapable of the things “men do” means that the discussion around what abuse looks like between women and how to cope constructively with that is really limited.

It’s a kind of Neovictorianism where the way women have sex continues to determine their worth as human beings, and only “pure” women don’t deserve to be hurt, only now sprinkled with LGBT politics as if it’s not still harmful and disgusting.
