This
is a screen shot from a man who frequents sex workers talking about how
SESTA/FOSTA is actually going to benefit johns because of how
vulnerable it will make sex workers. Contrary to popular belief, johns
are actually celebrating this legislation getting passed because it
gives them more power over sex workers. This negatively effects sex
workers all along the choice/coercion continuum. Get angry! 

I hate these men so much

Germany has recently (last July) passed laws requiring in person sex workers to go on a national register.
Ever since then an increasing number of clients tries to blackmail workers into services by threatening to report them as unregistered, and pretending to be police is becoming increasingly popular 🙂
Meanwhile if a client does hurt you and you’re not registered, if you seek help you risk huge fines.

The law implementing this national register is called the “prostitute protection law”.

Anything that criminalises us makes us more vulnerable, the more options we have, the safer we are.
