Holy fuck

How old is this picture? I checked OP and they posted this in 2017, but I swear I’ve seen the above image passed around in certain circles while Obama was president.

The statements themselves are… concerning, but something else seems off here.

Yeah like, honestly this kind of shit is in no way new and has never gone away when we have a dem in office. It seems to function way more as like, a weird grassroots indoctrination that’s just passed down through our education system, and if you ever question it you’re disrespecting the troops and freedom or some shit.

When I was in about 6th grade or so I had a teacher who’d have us memorize and sing “Proud to be an American” and other songs like that along with the pledge, with the video and everything. Every. Fucking. Day. And we’d talk about how brave people were to go after the scary ppl who did 9/11 (fast forward to a few years later when the big news was hey, we invaded the country that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks and lied about them having WOMD, weird huh?? Crazy mix up there.) I have that song seared in my head. Looking back it was actually kinda scary.

@aro-bendy, try imagine backsearch on google next time, it’s amazing. For this image it took me 1 minute to find out that this assignment was distributed in 2013 by Pearson PLC, the world’s largest for-profit education business, which operates under many names and sells the majority of it’s products to schools in the US but also produces educational materials for schools in 70 other countries. Wherever you are, there’s a high chance some of your classroom materials came from this company.
