May 9 2018 – Police in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, beat up and arrest a man after he criticised them for speeding with their car on the bicycle path without a siren to warn people. The official police reaction to this incident, which ignored the unnecessary violence and unlawful arrest, said they were in a hurry to respond to a burglary, but apparently not in enough of a hurry that they could ignore mild criticism.
