no-url-ideas-tho:

why isn’t anyone allowed to be wrong anymore? it’s okay to be wrong. no one should be terrified of every tiny little mistake they might make. being wrong, and realizing you were wrong, is how you learn and grow and change.

This post has two kinds of comments:

  • “That’s because we have been brainwashed by schools and parents into thinking we will get punished for every mistake”
  • “That’s because left-wing online call-out culture sucks”

These two things.

It’s like, maybe, when we are harsh and unforgiving to each other over every little mistake we are reproducing the violence against us?

I mean definitely.

So yeah, you can fuck up. And to add to that:

  • It is okay to be wrong and to not immediately realize it once someone addresses it. Information processioning takes time. You don’t have to have a change of heart on the spot.
  • It is okay to want compassionate communities and to surround yourself with people who don’t lash out the moment you make a mistake.
