I like seeing so much anti-royal wedding stuff on my dash. Fuck the royal wedding.

But since, along with all the points about the ridiculousness of the existence of royalty, a lot of the criticism also focusses on the many millions spend on a celebrity spectacle amidst poverty, I’m kind of surprised to see that sort of criticism on the same blogs that were fawning over Met Gala dresses and 2 million dollar jewelry a few weeks ago?

Like, yeah, one is tax money and one isn’t and there is a different, but like, that money still came from us. Those are still people who grew ridiculously rich amidst extreme poverty. There are no ethical millionaires. Every charity-gala is just propaganda for the rich.
The spectacle of their wealth is still repulsive.
