A combination of tools I use to mass block people on shitty terf posts.
Basically I’ll look for posts containing keywords like “transcel” or “bincel” or what have you, check the notes to make sure there are no refutations yet, copy the entire notes page into a spreadsheet, run it through some scripts to clear out duplicates and error messages, and then use the output in a mass block tool.
It’s not actually automatic at all, just very high speed compared to manually blocking people.
And it ensures that there are limited ways for radfems, nazis, racists, etc etc to access my posts.
I try to ensure that I only scrape urls from completely disgusting posts with no refutations, but there is always the risk of picking up someone who interacted with the post by mistake, which is why I leave the block list on my old url completely empty. That way, people can get in touch if they need to be unblocked.
That is genius! Could youplease share a more detailed explanation of the scripts and apps you use so less tech-savy folks can reproduce this process?
