I saw an article going around recently about this guy I used to work for. It was a typical hippy-dippy “Look at our small town business” sort of fanfare, which functions more as advertising than anything else. However it infuriated me because the article distinctly fails to mention how much he relies upon paying minors under-the-table below minimum wage and expects them to carry heavy crates with little assistance. Like I sincerely do not believe that anyone who pays kids $5 and hour to lift 50+lb boxes should be viewed in a positive light.
This is every ‘small town business’ I have ever worked for.
