tbh yeah I regret this post because cops are for sure by far the most dangerous thing at pride. democrats are just fun to laugh at though :
In the big scheme of things, cops and state violence are a dangerous thing outside us. They can hurt us, kill us even, but they can not take away who we are, our connection to each other or our passion for a better world and how dangerous that passion makes us to them.
The derailing and controlling of our boundless desires into a political party can do that. It can take the essense of who we are and control it until we become part of the system, until we become cops in our own community. It can make us into people who stand by our oppressors and throw our most vulnerable out.
Cops can kill us, assimilation politics can take away the things that make life worth living.
