The reason why the Democratic Party officials are not providing any overt resistance to the current political situation is because in their eyes every atrocity is going to be good for the upcoming election season and by extension their pocket books. 

Democratic government officials will ultimately benefit financially and politically from every instance of ICE destroying families, every industry that gets derailed from tariffs, and even the possibility of genuine nuclear warfare. 

Remember that when you see tomorrow’s horror story from the white house. They are not your friends. Endless enraging articles are just election propaganda until the Democrats actually fucking offer some real resistance. 

And they will not resist, because they support the status quo. Republicans make a scene every time something goes slightly against what they want, but the Democrats simply stand aside and tell the masses there is nothing they can do until you vote for them in the next election.
