europeans really got stop pretending racism doesn’t exist in europe when their governments are shifting further and further right at the prospect of people trying to escape the chaos they created, as refugees.

just because american racism is largely but not exclusively targeted against black people doesn’t mean you’re less racist because your racism’s current preoccupation is with how many mosques are located in your borders

Idk how they can deny their racism when they chant racist shit at the World Cup, German newspapers printed “we will build a wall around Mexico”, they throw bananas on the field at Black players like it’s not even implicit it’s very overt racism they choose to ignore because they get off on being better than America.

France has entire laws made explicitly to target Muslims, many which are brown and black. Italy is literally becoming a nazi haven because the government is a nazi united front, and they let their refugees die all the damn time.

Europe is the center of more refined ways to neatly sell nazism and fascism and they really should stop pretending otherwise just because their bullshit looks better marketed than the rest of the world’s problems.

A few weeks ago a video went viral showing a man in Berlin being attacked for wearing a kippa

When we had exchange students from Israel they were told by their teacher not to speak Hebrew too loudly on the streets “for their own safety”

Nazis are moving to the parts of my city with the most immigrants to attack them

Even some of the “progressives” say that they wouldn’t want a mosque in their city or that they have “nothing against muslims” as long as they aren’t “too public” about it. Those are the same people complaining about crosses being taken down in schools.

There are 79 teachers at my school, including 2 POC. For comparison, around one in five of the bus drivers I see are POC. The vast majority of toilet cleaners I see are black.

I mean yeah the media bombards us with how “horrible and racist” America is and they’re right but it’s not hard to see the racism here too. Especially racism targeted at religious minorities (namely antisemitism and islamophobia)
