is there anything to be done about nazi blogs on tumblr except reporting them?

Can you…

• identify them based on their content and pass that information to local antifascists?
• bully them out?
  I don’t usually see much use in sending nasty messages, unless you can do it in a
  swarm, and even then it’s not particularly likely to be effective
  compared to the amount of work it takes.

  But there could be particular targets that are vulnerable to that sort of thing.

• monitor them? A Nazi that talks too much and shares valuable information about where the next Nazi meetings will be might be more useful active than shut down.
• hack them? or get someone else to do it for you?
• trick them into trusting you and giving you information that allows you to do some of the things above?
• trick them into believing you and giving them misinformation at a crucial moment, to ruin an offline of online action?

These are all just ideas. I did not organize them in order of efficientness or ethicalness and I don’t recommend any in particular.

One of the principles of antifascism is ‘stop Nazis by any means necessary’. That doesn’t always mean ‘stop them by the most violent means available’ but it does mean I’m not gonna tell you that something is off limits. It means ’judge what is needed in every situation and do it’. It’s not up to me to tell you which methods are acceptable.
