Repression Hambacher Forst:
On last Saturday the 6th of October 2018 the largest protest against RWE and their plans to destroy the Hambacher Forst took place. As angry as the 50.000 other people I stepped out to make clear that the forest next to a big coal mining factory has to survive. Everything was fine and the whole protest didn’t escalate. When we were leaving the fields next to the forest where the protesters gathered together to drive home again we came to find a brazen surprise.
The police stole my car.
But let’s start from the beginning. Just like over 500 other people I parked my car on the verge next to the highway. The police told me and some other protesters that we are allowed to park there. The highway was blocked anyways. That’s why we couldn’t get off the highway because the police blocked the exits we would’ve needed to get closer to the demonstration.
So I parked my car at the side of the highway. I was sure that it’ll still be there when we’d be back because the highway was blocked until sunset. As you can tell my car wasn’t there when we came back. We asked some police officers who still blocked the exit of the highway and they told me my car was towed away and that I have to buy it back from the company that hooked it up. I did so. But the conversation with the guy who towed my car gave me some interesting information.
The first car was hooked up at 15:15 PM. I left my car around one and a half hour earlier. I don’t know yet what happened in the meantime but he also told me when he arrived only 5-7 cars were left.
There’s also some more information to the story but I don’t want to put it online because I may have to face some discussions and proceedings with the police.
I am searching for others who got there car stolen or ones that know what happened to the hundreds of cars that parked there with me. So please share this and help out a comrade. I’m grateful for every little information I can get!
