I love women obviously but the whole attitude of how women are all pure beings of light who can never do no wrong is like, really obnoxious sometimes and some of y’all really don’t want any women to ever be held accountable for their actions and beliefs.

Like homophobic and racist and transphobic women aren’t victims being held captive by internalized misogyny that need to be rescued. The way some of you frame all bigoted women as victims is super corny.

The idea that women were “too pure” to be involved in politics was used to argue against suffrage, to give one example this view of women as angels has been used to remove their agency and humanity for centuries. “Women are too weak and delicate to be responsible for their actions” is just another stripe of misogyny dressed up pretty.
