You can’t vote away white supremacists, police brutality, the choices of the electoral college, a water crisis, immigrant detention centers, a supreme court judge nomination, foreign diplomacy, climate change, or our shitty education system.

Most of these things shouldn’t even *be* a matter of voting anyway. Because a vote implies that there is a benefit for voting both in favor and against a decision.

So we gotta ask ourselves, who benefits from white supremacy? From police brutality? Rejection of the popular vote? Water crises? Detention centers? Unpopular judge nominations? Climate change? Bad foreign policy? A shitty education system?

Why should most of those things be solved by vote? Why wait years for those in power to make a proposal to solve these issues when we’re out here suffering the consequences of them now, when there’s no guarantee that the vote will turn our way? If it’s obvious that people’s lives are in danger, why should a vote matter when these issues could be solved directly and immediately?

The answer to these questions will tell you who your friends and enemies are.
