If we rely on punishment as a tool to create safer spaces, we will always push out the most vulnerable. Because punishment does not happen to bad people, punishment happens to those who can not prevent it from happening. Punishment is is question of power, not justice.

American missionaries
Just wondering: do Americans actually realize that the shittiest people in their country are actively spreading their ideas across the world? And I’m not just talking about the political interference or the mega-corporations. I’m talking lobbyists, articles, bloggers, think tanks, street missionaries. Do y’all even realize there are Americans in the Netherlands who came here … Continue reading American missionaries
Microaggressions are often represented as little pokes throughout the day that eventually leave you bruised and tired. In that scenario one micro-aggression isn’t bad, but a hundred of them are. But microaggressions are reminders that there is a force present that threatens your survival. So a single micro-aggression can send your survival instinct into ‘ALERT. … Continue reading
Being nice to the liberals (a bitter post) Liberals draw a false binary between ‘hardened experienced radical’ and ‘young naive liberal’, and use this to play innocent and to pressure anti-capitalists to be ‘nicer’ to liberals, but really, we’re usually already holding back A LOT. Most of the time, when we talk about disagreeing with liberals, … Continue reading
Don’t let pacifists have the words ‘activism of care’ as a euphemism for their shitty politics. Fuck no. My activism of care means that after you punch a nazi I will disinfect your knuckles and get you some water.
Dehumanization of Russians

Since people are still spreading bullshit about me, here is one more thing I want to throw on my blog and in the tags for people who want to know what’s really going on: I have never said that lesbians who wear wedding dresses are hetero-normative, that is misquoted and taken hugely out of context. … Continue reading
Cash
This isn’t something that gets talked about a lot, and I have no idea how far the problem extends geographically, but if you care about poor people, if you care about sex workers, if you care about activists, if you care about privacy, you should consider resisting the transition from cash to card-only payments that … Continue reading Cash
Climate justice? Yes, let’s talk neocolonialism and borders
Ok, this is going to be a very depressing post. I know it really sucks, but we probably gotta stop talking about ‘preventing climate change’ as if we can still avoid a massive catastrophe. All we can do is limit the impact of it by now. We’ve fought to ‘prevent’ this for decades, but that’s … Continue reading Climate justice? Yes, let’s talk neocolonialism and borders
A lot of gender studies, queer studies, etc boils down to referencing your knowledge about marganilized people to boost your own authority within a system of power, while speaking over and without marganilized people.
